TAB Issues Statement Standing with Israel after Hamas Attacks

AUSTIN, TX – The Chairman of the Texas Association of Business (TAB), Massey Villarreal, released the following statement in support of Israel:

TAB stands with Israel. In the strongest possible terms, we condemn the murderous terrorist attacks against the people of Israel.

Israel is a close friend and ally of the U.S. and the great state of Texas.

The economic ties between the US and Israel are strong. In fact, the first free trade agreement in the history of the US was signed between Israel and the US. Texas fortified its strong commercial relationship with Israel by passing strong anti-BDS legislation. We are proud that our economic relationship also impacts Israel’s security given that the F35 Joint-Strike Fighter is produced in Ft. Worth Texas. The two Lone Star states share common values and need to do more economically together.

The largest gathering of Israeli and American business leaders took place this year at the Israeli American Council (IAC) National Summit in Austin in which TAB leadership participated in the opening events.

I remain committed as Chairman of TAB to strengthen the relationship between Israel, the Startup Nation, and Texas, the Scale-up Nation.

Now is the time for us to stand and support Israel.

Hamas is a terrorist organization, and Israel has every right to defend itself.

Wishing for peace.
