RICHARDSON, TEXAS — Today, the Texas Association of Business (TAB) joined the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and Google to host a workshop – ‘Make AI Work For You’ – providing local small businesses with practical knowledge on artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help operationalize and grow their businesses. More than 50 local business leaders, along with Richardson Mayor Amir Omar, attended today’s workshop, underscoring the Texas business community’s commitment to empowering small businesses by providing the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in today’s ever-evolving technological environment.

“We believe that, for small businesses, AI is a tool for empowerment. When used effectively, these important tools can help supercharge small businesses that make up the backbone of the Texas economy,” TAB President & CEO Glenn Hamer said. “On the heels of a new AI bill in which TAB’s Tech Means Business Coalition was the leading voice for a broad group of business and industry leaders – authored by Chairman Giovanni Capriglione and signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott – today’s workshop couldn’t be more timely. I want to thank Google and the Richardson Chamber for making this event possible, and am confident this will be the first of many learning sessions to help Texas businesses take their operations to the next level with cutting-edge AI tools.”

“AI is a way we can begin to look at breaking boundaries as small businesses. I want you to be part of this journey as we make Richardson an amazing place to be. That includes moving your businesses here, keeping your businesses here, growing your businesses,” Richardson Mayor Amir Omar said. “It also includes working with our whole ecosystem, our IQHQ, UT Dallas, and coworking places. Everything we can do that can take small businesses and make them into growing businesses.”
