Mr. Ryan was appointed by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick to serve as the Chairman for the Lieutenant Governor’s Tax Policy Advisory Board. Most recently, he served as Chairman for the Texans Back to Work Task Force created by Lieutenant Governor Patrick for his efforts in restarting the Texas economy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Ryan currently serves as Chair-Elect of the Texas Association of Business and formerly served as Treasurer and has been on the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors for more than a decade. Mr. Ryan is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
