Made in Texas: Ultrahuman Puts U.S. Innovation on the Map
Last week, TAB’s Tech Means Business Coalition hosted a regional roundtable and tour of the UltraFactory, Ultrahuman’s healthcare facility in Plano, Texas. Attendees included Senator Hagenbuch (SD 30), Representative Noble (HD 89), staff from Senator Paxton (SD 8) and Representative Pierson (HD 33), leaders from TAB and the Dallas Regional Chamber, and Ultrahuman executives including General Manager Dr. Pavan Kumar.
Ultrahuman, a proud TAB member, is the first to produce a domestically manufactured advanced health wearable ring. This facility not only ensures faster delivery and enhanced quality control but is also on track to meet 100% of U.S. demand for advanced health wearables and deliver AI-powered insights — all made in America.
Since beginning operations in Texas in 2024, Ultrahuman has created 85 jobs and is expected to generate more than 300 by the end of 2025. The company is also building a talent pipeline by working closely with the University of Texas at Dallas to provide hands-on engineering internships and advanced training in automation and manufacturing.
What sets Ultrahuman apart is its commitment to driving U.S. innovation and competitiveness by investing in domestic manufacturing, specifically in Texas, rather than outsourcing overseas. The Texas facility oversees every stage of the smart ring’s production journey: from biosensor integration through automated SMT-based PCB assembly to precision ring assembly, rigorous testing and inspection, gold-standard quality control, and final finishing.
With U.S. policymakers increasingly focused on the role of health technology in prevention — including the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative’s nationwide push for wearable adoption — Ultrahuman’s Texas facility demonstrates how domestic production can deliver both innovation and resilience.
Ultrahuman is a powerful example of why Texas is becoming the destination for advanced health-tech manufacturing — a move now being followed by rivals. Our state offers:
• A pro-business climate shaped by competitive tax policy, regulatory clarity, and a strong culture of innovation
• A skilled workforce ready for the industries of the future
• A thriving innovation ecosystem enriched by leading universities and research institutions
• An industry network supported by TAB and regional associations
• Reliable, competitive infrastructure and energy resources
By revolutionizing metabolic and longevity health with precision manufacturing and AI-driven innovation, Ultrahuman underscores the confidence global innovators have in Texas. This investment ensures our state remains the place where companies come to build, scale, and thrive — cementing Texas’ leadership in the industries that define America’s future.
