Best Companies to Work for In Texas - Moving it to Nightime

Theme:  Excellence Express - Registration is Closed. 

Best Companies Inc, SHRM - Texas State Council, Texas Monthly and the Texas Association of Business host the Best Companies to Work for in Texas Awards Night 2013.

Promising to be more high energy and much more celebratory, bring your staff and make a night of it in Austin.  After all, you are one of the best companies in the entire state.

Your accommodations and awards night location:  The Hyatt Austin is set directly on the south bank of Lady Bird Lake and facing the downtown Austin skyline. With a gorgeous pool, an expansive deck overlooking the lake, paddle boats, fresh sushi bar, fajitas to die for and a location within eye shot of the bats under the Congress Street bridge, we promise a memorable experience.  A room block is reserved.

Awards Night Schedule:
Photos in Hill Country AB:  2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Cocktails, Texas Ballroom foyer: 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Dinner and Awards Program: Welcome by Governor Perry.  Program MC is Austin radio disc jockey Bama Brown: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Plaque awards presented by Miss Dallas Monique Evans:  7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (at the latest)
No host after awards mix and mingle featuring JoAnna Lee vocals and guitar: 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Plaques - Each winner will receive one complimentary plaque.  You may order any number of extra awards by clicking the REGISTER button.

What to Wear:  Fun, Celebratory Cocktail Attire.  For the men, slacks, dress shirt, jacket - casually elegant.

Room Reservations:  The room block at the Hyatt Regency is sold out, but the Hyatt is just Lady Bird Lake away from all of the downtown hotels.  Below are the websites for some options that would be great to stay.  Do check the discount sites for rates.

When you sign up for the event, you will also be asked to name your company's favorite Motown song.  Please note that "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" has been chosen a few times.  :)

Directions:
Hyatt Regency Austin is located on the south bank of Lady Bird Lake on Barton Springs Road, step out of the hotel and you're on the deck overlooking the lake and the Austin skyline.  Enjoy freshly made sushi and exotic drinks.  Down the stairs and you're on the walking trail along the lake.  Hyatt's swimming pool overlooks the lake and the Austin skyline, and just a short stroll takes you to the Congress Street Bridge where the bats reside.  One mile west is an enclave of restaurants (Chuy's, Austin Java, Uncle Billy's, Shady Grove).  Zilker Park flanks Barton Springs Road.  Parking for our group: $5 self parking (cash only); $13 valet. Overnight prices: $17/$24.  Please carpool.  Contact Lori Buntin for Motorcoach instructions, lbuntin@txbiz.org.
